Alexander for the violin

The Alexander design was conceived as a High Teka type bowl, which fits centrally over the tailpiece and therefore clamps onto the block. Many viola players use a standard Alexander design on their violas.

The Aeroplane is a classic design which has been popular for many years.

Aeroplane for the viola

The top surface is very similar to the violin version, but it has a uniquely recessed back face.

Berber for the violin

The Berber was popular in the 1980's, particularly in Europe. There was a regular demand for this unusually shaped but rather beautiful chinrest, which fits over the tailpiece. It's popularity waned but recently has regained popularity.

Bergonzi for the violin

The Bergonzi design appeals to players who prefer a low chinrest with very little curvature. It is available in a violin or viola version.

Bergonzi for the viola

The viola version is slightly smaller and has a marginally deeper bowl.

Big Strad 1 for the violin

This is an over the tailpiece chinrest which is a classical design. It has quite a deep, curvaceous bowl and is available in a violin or viola version.

Big Strad 2 for the violin

Like the Big Strad 1 also over the tailpiece, but the design is gentler. It is available in a violin or viola version.

Cappa for the violin

This side mounted chinrest is popular with players who like quite a high chinrest, which allows them to get a good grip.
