Spohr for the Violin
In 1831 Louis Spohr made the first chinrest - he attached it to the bottom button of his violin. We have made a modern interpretation, based on the drawings he did in his violin playing manual, and have attached our modern fittings. It has caused a lot of interest and has been ordered by a number of Baroque players.

Chin Rest Key
We were inspired to make a chinrest key with an HSS pin, the same length as the diameter of our barrels, in order to prevent damage being caused to the ribs of the instrument during fitting or removal of the chinrest. It can be supplied in either stained boxwood, ebony or blackwood.
